杜甫仁科第一部有声电影，本片总体制作较为粗糙。和杜甫仁科以往的影片类似，本片的剧本编写也较为简陋，即使在同时期的苏联宣传片中都不出彩，无论是角色塑造、情节发展或对白编写都非常淡薄。不过杜甫仁科仍然在片中成功制作出了几场好戏，开场的诗意场景、母亲从工地奔向办公室（途中跳接穿过许多扇门）的戏份都是让人印象深刻的好戏，也正是这些好戏让本片得以从它的同类电影中脱颖而出。
