Philip Marlowe本以为接的是一个普通的寻人案子，但没想到却陷进难以脱身的漩涡，欺骗、金钱、美色几乎将这个年过半百的私家侦探吞没。我以为《再见吾爱》是个爱**，但剧中几乎没有谈情说爱，如果说米彻姆与兰普林**在沙发上和车上那一出算是就罢了；动作戏也没多少；一直都是米彻姆抽丝剥茧寻找真相。米彻姆在《战争风云》中一直都是**，在《再见吾爱》中也是**。看《战争风云》的时候听说米彻姆是著名性格男星也就忍了十多集的**表演，但《再见吾爱》还是如此，可能我对“性格男星”的理解还是肤浅，不符合1970年代观众的审美，那个年代强调的男性魅力应该就是少言寡语的硬汉吧。兰普林很惊艳，戏份很少却将一个把美貌与性感视为**的**刻画得入木三分，一直觉得兰普林的眼神和伊娃格林很像，那种隐藏无数秘密的眼神。
