去到纽约的阿克曼观看了大量的实验电影，受它们影响拍摄了此片与《蒙特利旅馆》。整部短片一镜到底，白日的小房间内三个360度的环摇后加180度摇两个来回，全片无声音，寂静如死寂，阿克曼本人百无聊赖地躺在床上，每次出现在画面里都会改变一个**，不可预料的动作与房间内的静物在缓慢的摇镜中形成张力。后来又流传出一篇旁白版的文本。

香特尔吃苹果。房间中心定点机位缓慢旋转横摇，完整旋转三圈后，再以少女为中心做180度左右缓慢摆动三次。无声音，一个镜头10分21秒，这样还把阿克曼列为剪辑？是决定镜头的开始和结束点吗。阿克曼本人出境，有着先天优势，她长得确实好看而且可爱。《房间》短片有两个版本，目前能看到的1号是无声版，2号旁白版佚失。根据长评里路米内翻译的旁白，长镜头里第二圈看到香特尔在床上扭动原来是在**？！再结合后面手中摩挲苹果、咬下苹果的动作，莫非代表偷食**，都能说通了。
