没想象中好，但也没有想象中差。小成本喜剧，笑点主要集中在卖蠢上，但又比更古早的打闹喜剧多了一些结构性的笑点。比较意外的是，胖子扮演不高兴，瘦子扮演没头脑，在我国相声里往往反过来，会认为胖子更单纯点。看完觉得，卓别林、基顿和劳埃德能从一众默片-黑白片**的喜剧演员中杀出重围，的确各有划**的本事和创新。他们的电影具有更多特效特技内容，即电影区别于舞台喜剧的“电影性”，那确实对电影本体的贡献更大。至于对影片内涵的升华，某种人文关怀和世界情怀，则是卓更高于基和劳的部分。

Vastly prefer the vertigo-inducing buildup of The Music Box than the stilted framework offered here; the best Seiter manages is a sense of air-pressuring altitude as L&H are forced up into the attic and then the rainy roof of their own home. Otherwise, it's tedious and anonymous stuff, with some laughs and domestic violence—i.e., a typical sitcom.
